Ricomposti series by Luciano Laghi

Reminiscing Luciano Laghi’s travels in Latin America and the Middle East,
these sculptures are inspired by the bird’s eye view of large stretches of land,
characterised by warm colours and scorched by the sun.

The technique used to complete these pieces includes several stages
in which the pieces is composed and de-composed with an architectural taste.
Initially, Luciano makes the full slab, which is then cut into several fragments.
The piece is then reconstructed by using industrial glues, glazing or iron.

Each fragment is baked individually and assembled on a scaffolding,
an operation that requires great care and precision overall.
His aesthetics are characterised by geometric abstraction, with futuristic traits.
