Vase in gres stoneware turned on the lathe and glazed. This piece is part of the “Tronchi di cono” collection that includes ceramic vases and boxes created by Luca Schiavon and inspired by the essential, abstract and contemplative forms of Japan, where the artist studied.

In these pieces, Luca Schiavon uses a very dense enamel that, once cast, clots to form thick blotches of colour, revealing small areas of the underlying clay. The surface of the vase is smooth and irregular to the touch, conferring movement and variety to a perfectly symmetrical and harmonious structure.

The pieces of the “Tronchi di cono” collection are perfect to be shown on their own or in a small group, blending in harmoniously in all contexts, from a countryside interior to minimal and elegant spaces.
